How Yar Adua Emerged

It is no longer news that Yar Adua is the Presidential candidate of the PDP in the forthcoming Presidential elections in Nigeria. What is news however is how he out of nowhere became the PDP candidate.

Most people wrongly assume that Yar Adua was chosen by OBJ. This cannot be further from the truth. Before the emergence of YA, OBJ had led many candidates to believe that he had their backs in the Presidential race. These included the likes of IBB, Duke, Gusau and Odili. The story was that OBJ was playing all against each other and he did not have an anointed candidate or if he did, he never revealed it. Odili contrary to widespread beliefs was never supported by OBJ, it was Anthony Annenih that was his champion. OBJ knew that Odili had no chance of wining it, also OBJ had his mind set on a credible Northern candidate. We were reliably informed that his preference was Gen Buhari.

It was against this backdrop that the PDP Governors met to produce a consensus candidate. After several meetings, the Governors decided to settle for Yar Adua. The Governors told Kwara State Governor Bukola Saraki to produce a position paper to be given to OBJ.

OBJ was pleasantly surprised when the Governors through Saraki made it known to him that YA was their chosen candidate. With OBJ and the Governors now singing from the same hymn sheet, he felt confident enough to ask the likes of IBB to withdraw for Yar Adua. One person that was not happy with the choice of YA was Anenih, on the day of the Presidential Primaries at the Eagle Square, he accosted Saraki who had just been in to see OBJ in his special booth and wanted to know what he went to tell the President. He told Saraki “young man I know what you are all planning, I hope you don’t regret it”.

The Unfaithful First Lady

We did promise that we were going to talk about the First Lady that was having an affair. A few people wrote in asking us give them the story, and because we only tell stories on the Molue and not inside mailboxes we refused! Well the gist is that it is the wife of the Delta state Governor who is involved or should we say involved? James who was recently called very “…smart and dangerously so…” by OBJ is making a second appearance on the Molue.


Ibori has been dogged by a lot of controversies since he assumed the mantle of leadership in Delta State. One rumour that made the rounds early in his regime was that he was involved in the assassination Chief Alfred Rewane the Itsekiri Patriarch. Ibori who is an Itsekiri (maternal side) was close to the late chief and remember we said, in our first story on him, that he ran some dirty errands for the Abachas. Remember also that he was a security consultant to Abacha. How ex London cab driver come become security consultant? Maybe it as a result of his cult days at the University of Benin. In any case he is rumoured to have planned and arranged the Flour Mills stickers that were used by the assassins that shot Rewane. This rumour has been making the rounds for a while now.


Anyway back to our story. The gist is that First Lady Chief Mrs Nkoyo Ibori met this guy in London. The guy was a real rough neck that was into very shady deals. When the relationship started, people assumed that he was just Nkoyo’s bit of rough and it was gong to fizzle out, but for where , the relationship got stronger and stronger. Some people will swear that she got into the relationship because Ibori neglected her where it mattered and that because he had fathered a child by the daughter of his former Commissioner for Women Affairs (Can you imagine the irony?) Whatever the motivation, the relationship got so serious and madam was always running to London at every opportunity for some TLC from her bit of rough.


In no time, the story got to Ibori and like the typical jaguda man that he is, he simply confronted Nkoyo’s bit of rough and threatened to deal with him if he did not back off. Not one to look for trouble and because he had only come out Her Majesty’s Prison (He was jailed for a deal that went bad when he was dating Nkoyo) Nkoyo’s bit of rough heeded Ibori’s warning and ran off. We are still monitoring the situation to see if anything will happen again. But while it lasted, Nkoyo lavished money, presents and a house on the guy!

UJ Student Commits Suicide bc of Naija Maradona

First time Nigerians heard of homosexuality in the corridors of power was during the ill fated Gideon Orkar coup. That was the first time the cat was let out of the bag. Ever since then a few Nigerian leaders have been dogged by claims of homosexuality.

We can tell you that one person who has not been able to shake this off is Naija’s own Maradona. Reports reaching us state that he is a bisexual with a special preference for guys. One o f his numerous male lovers is the Glowing boss of a big mobile company in Nigeria. This Glowing boss has been swinging both ways and he has been a long time lover of Naija Maradona. Anyway back to the main gist.

Some years ago Naija Maradona had this passionate affair with a Male University of Jos student. The boy was very much in love with Naija Maradona and he was led to believe that he was the special one and there was nobody else. The UJ student was on cloud 9, he was spoilt rotten by Naija Maradona. His joy did not last long.

What the UJ student did not know was that Naija Maradona was dating another young man in London, the affair was so serious that he bought him a house in London. The UJ student was devastated, he tried contacting Naija Maradona to either deny or confirm the shocking rumour he had heard, but he was brushed aside. He tried getting Naija Maradona to change his mind to no avail. The poor UJ student completely lost his mind and failing to get his lover back; he proceeded to take his own life by committing suicide.

Fani Kayode Vs Drugs

Fani Kayode, the Aviation Minister is really keeping a low profile these days. But Nigerians still remember how the foul mouthed former aide to President Obasanjo used to abuse Nigerians from pillar to post. He was quick to jump on the back of anybody who tried as much as say anything bad about the President. The likes of Wole Soyinka and Chinua Achebe were not spared by the gutter mouth.


During his days as a the unofficial spokesman for the President, a lot of people used to wonder If Fani Kayode was real or if he was on some mind bending drugs. Well the true story is that years ago, Fani Kayode was a certified drug addict. He smoked and injected anything that could give him a high. It was so bad that the guy used to walk about town in his drug induced haze.


Because of his late Father, some people felt he needed help. He was rehabilitated and given a job with a former Northern frontline Politician. That should have been enough to set him on the straight and narrow part you would have thought, but Fanny was soon back in his drug taking days. Because of the shame and distress he was causing Fani was carted off to Ghana.


His sojourn in Ghana coincided with the June 12 years. Whilst Democrats were fighting to over turn the June 12 annulment, Fani was doing cold turkey in Ghana. After much struggles and money Fani was able to conquer his demons and he returned to Nigeria eventually. His rehabilitation continued with his appointment into the Obasanjo Government. Question now is; how long will it be before Fani Kayode falls off the wagon?
